Engine Engineer - Power Cylinder
This exempt, salaried position engineers and designs combustion engine moving parts – specifically pistons, crank, rods and bearings. The main responsibilities beyond design and engineering for the components and packaging in the engine is conducting and coordinating structural analysis of the parts. This role also works closely with suppliers to deliver components and testing requirements. Works closely with other members of the engineering team to complete the system engineering.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science and must have 5 years experience in engine piston / rod / bearing or crank engineering. Must be proficient in CAD and Office. Experience in Pro E preferred.
This position works in a normal office environment plus extensive work in a lab environment with various engines, fuels and components. It requires extensive computer work and limited travel.
