Clean, Efficient and Lightweight Propulsion Systems for a Better World

Vice President, Research & Advanced Development
Dr. Laimboeck heads the R&D arm of EcoMotors, where he and his team work on rethinking and refining internal combustion engines and their capabilities for power output, fuel economy and emissions cleanliness.
The inner workings of small, power-dense engines have always held a particular fascination for Dr. Laimboeck. He focused this interest first in competition as a motorcycle racer in his native Austria, where he became 500 cc national champion in 1975. Since then, his passion has evolved into a profession, and a distinguished career as a development engineer, university professor and researcher.
Dr. Laimboeck holds a Masters degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in mechanical engineering, and a Doctorate in technology (Dr.techn.) with distinction, from the Technical University of Graz, Austria, where he also achieved habilitation qualification (Univ.-Dozent) as a full professor.
