Cheryl M. Samarco
Controller, Treasurer
Cheryl Samarco is EcoMotors senior financial executive, and directs the human resources and treasury functions. She brings to the company more than 25 years of diverse experience in corporate finance and accounting.
During 20 years of service at ITT Industries Systems Division, she worked in various parts of the world on several of ITTs government contracts for the Department of Defense, involved in such functions as financial reporting, cost accounting, and contractor and union negotiations. She also assisted in the development of multi-year operating plans, and gained international finance experience.
Ms. Samarco holds a Bachelors degree in accounting from the University of La Verne in La Verne, California.
Career highlights:
- Director of Finance and Administration at ITT Industries, Systems Division, in a joint venture with Spaceport Systems International.
- Controller and CFO for Advanced Propulsion Technologies in Goleta, California. Responsibilities included:
- Management of corporate accounting and financial reporting functions
- Financial operating budget and risk management
- Treasury/cash management
- Contract administration, including cost proposals and pricing
- Maintaining compliance with applicable standards and regulations, including GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and labor laws
